Dog Walking
Group Dog Walks in Burnaby
A 15-minute on-leash walk at Willingdon Heights Dog Park, added to your dog's daycare day.
Short, on-leash, outdoors
Not every dog needs an hour-long hike, and not every owner needs to pay for one. Our walks are 15 minutes, on leash, added to your dog’s daycare day.
They suit dogs across the energy range. A high-drive dog gets a change of scene and some sniffing; an older or lower-energy dog gets outdoor time without being asked to keep up with anybody.
Where we walk
We usually take the dogs to Willingdon Heights Dog Park, close to the daycare. We go out a small group at a time to keep every walk safe and manageable.
Grass matters more than people think. It is easier on joints than pavement, it is cooler underfoot in summer, and it is full of smells, which is where most of the mental exercise in a walk actually comes from.
Walks are for daycare dogs
Walks can’t be booked on their own. They are an add-on to a daycare day, so your dog is already with us and there is no pick-up from home. It also means your dog walks with dogs and staff they already know.
One requirement: good recall
We only take dogs with good recall. Group walks only work when every dog in the group reliably comes back. That is what keeps the whole group safe near a road or another dog.
If you are not sure where your dog sits on that, talk to us. We would rather tell you honestly that walks aren’t the right fit yet than find out in the park.
Who walks are good for
- Daycare dogs who benefit from a break from the group and some time outside.
- Seniors and lower-energy dogs who enjoy being outdoors but don’t need a long outing.
- High-energy dogs who need a change of scene to settle for the afternoon nap.
- Dogs working on leash manners who do better alongside calm, experienced dogs.

Walks questions
How long are the walks?
15 minutes, on leash, usually at Willingdon Heights Dog Park in Burnaby.
How much does a group walk cost?
$7 for a single walk, or $35 for 5, $70 for 10 and $105 for 15.
Can I book a walk without daycare?
No. Walks are an add-on to a daycare day, so your dog needs to be booked into daycare that day.
Why is good recall required if the walk is on leash?
Leashes slip and clips break. In a group, one dog who won't come back puts every dog at risk near a road or another dog. Good recall is the backup that keeps everyone safe, so we only take dogs who have it.
